FUN DAY2005

The Cairn Fun Day was again a very successful event and I thank all those who gave both time and money in working towards this end; for without willing workers, the day could never be.
My thanks also go to all those who attended our Fun Day. A day lacking visitors, with or without money in their pockets, would have been a day of work for many, with little j oy in return - j ust trust you found the day to have been an enjoyable one.
Most of all, my most grateful appreciation is from the heart and goes to all those breeders who posted, at their own expense, invitations to those to whom they had sold puppies - this connection is vital to the success of the day.
We experienced a case of disappearing judges and so had to rope in a couple of replacement judges. One a very experienced Cairn judge of some note and the other, just loves Cairns. We are very fortunate to have willing supporters like Bill Cammish (Camcairn) and Sharon Confue (Anjofra), ready and willing to face such a daunting task, at short notice - thank you, both, for being there in our hour of need
From the dog press, readers will know of our dispute with Cairn Terrier Health Watch, though most may not be fully aware as to the details, . This has not been settled, although we have offered several solutions to this issue; all appear to have been rejected. I still pray that they will come up with an acceptable solution; my willing band of workers certainly deserve this reward for all their efforts, both before and on the day.
However, we feel there should be a strong Health Watch; one which is independent of the six club's, yet having a good working relationship with them. For this reason, we are overriding our own thoughts on the matter which is in dispute and as in the past, the proceeds of the Fun Day will be donated to the funding of the Cairn Terrier Health Watch.
