After
running a story about the abandoned puppy on the right, the story went as
follows.
“The council have an equally touching story
concerning another dog, reckoned to be between 10 and 14 years old, found
wandering in the car park beside Glebeside Spar last week.
The Cairn Terrier cross was taken to the council kennels where it was fed and
heated.
The spokesperson said: "The dog used to be black in colour, but is now
grey, obviously from old age.
"Maybe it was owned by a pensioner who is reluctant to come forward, but
we would like to find the owner.
"If that doesn't happen we would be very anxious for some kind person
out there to give the animal a home so that it can spend its last days in
comfort."
Anyone who can assist with either dog should contact the Environmental Health
Department on Ballymoney 028 276 60200.”
