New Honorary Secretary For CTC

The Cairn Terrier Club is pleased to announce that the new Honorary Secretary of the Club is Mrs Karen Evans (Kappelgill), who takes up her duties on 1st January 2005.

Karen has been actively engaged with dogs and plants for the past 20 years as Secretary and /or Committee member of Coventry Cocker Spaniel Club, High Pennines Horticultural Society, Dollar Horticultural Society, not to mention involvement with Hillfoots Music for Youth, and the Central Athletics Club.

A comparative newcomer to the world of the Cairn Terrier, she says she is well and truly hooked, and is grateful to those breeders and exhibitors who have given her their advice.  Karen is not just interested in things - she likes to get stuck in and really involved - putting something back when she is getting so much out of an activity.

Married for 25 years to Paul, an IT consultant, they have three sons, aged 17, 18 and 20.  She admits that the first few months will require a very steep learning curve, but knows that the Cairn fraternity in general, and the Officers and Committee of the Club, will give her all the help and encouragement they can."
