Doonrae Award 2005

Reminder about the Doonrae Award

Milly Jennings writes;

"The Doonrae Award is open to members of any of the Cairn Terrier Breed Clubs whose dogs have not won a CC or Res CC in the breed, or other equivalent.  This year the scheme runs from Dec. 1st 2004 to November 30th 2005.

Points are to be won at Open or Limited shows only, in Cairn classes.  The judge need not be on the Judges Breed Clubs List, and points will still be awarded even if only one Cairn is present on the day.  4 points will be awarded for 1st place, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd and 1 point for reserve.   No extra points will be won for BOB or Best Puppy etc.  Photocopies of the relevant catalogue pages must be forwarded to Alf and Milly Jennings by 31 January 2006.  A certificate and a cheque for £15 will be presented to the winner, £10 to the runner up and £5 to the 3rd place.

The last competition result was very disappointing, only two people entered.  We are running the award scheme again this year but if less than 10 exhibitors compete there will not be a Doonrae Award next year."
