Naughty “Nauty” Is A Very Lucky Boy

Seven-month-old Cairngold Cosmonaught (Nauty) hasn’t been too well. Over a week ago he started being sick as soon as he had eaten. The vet assumed a blockage. But after an x-ray and a barium meal nothing could be seen. After a short lived recovery he was back at the vets.
Then Nauty, although on a glucose drip was slowly going down hill.
Last Sunday the vet decided to operate and found the culprit. A bandage (One of those self adhesive ones with smiley faces on) Nauty must have eaten this after removing it from litter sister Leeza (C. Condoleeza) The offending bandage had been put on at the vets the previous week after treatment for a pulled claw!
Nauty is now recovering at home with Linda & Alan and will soon be back in the showring (Although I don’t know how long it will take Alan to get over the Vet’s bill!) Update 1/02/05 Nauty has had his staples removed and has been given the “all clear” from the vet- (Alan is still waiting for the bill though!) |
