Pepi The Cairn Comes Home

Two days ago Pepi was found wandering the streets near the village of Howarth, four miles from his home in Keighley, after being missing (presumed stolen) from his garden for nearly two months! (see newsreport dated 10/12/02)

A family took him in and after a couple days discovered where he had come from and he was reunited with his pensioner owners Chris and Dennis Wadsworth on Sunday 2nd  Feb 2003. They are as you can imagine over the moon!

When Chris rang me Pepi was jumping from her knee to Dennis’s knee, getting all his toys out, barking at his “treat jar” and obviously  very pleased to be home.

He is in excellent condition well fed and clean, his original collar and disc had been replaced by a collar made from a cut down mans belt.

As well as reporting his disappearance on this site, Dog World, local newspapers & lost dog Uk, they have had posters all over the Keighley area, which thankfully worked.

Pepi has now been booked in for Microchipping and his garden is being made safer.

Isn’t it lovely to have a happy ending!

Brenda Shannon.
