Sad News

I have received today the sad news that Chrissy Clark of the Courtrai partnership passed away on Wed Sept 17. She had been in hospital for about three months after a fall in her home and breaking her femur. I understand that she had been taken to a really fine nursing home just a week ago, and was so excited about it. A friend of hers, Gina Manners had been visiting often while she was in hospital, and told me she was always bright and cheerful. She was a very professional person, and personally I would like to say how much respect I had for her. I had my first Cairn puppy from Chrissy and Doris, a son of the great CH Robinson Crusoe of Courtrai. They between them were so kind and most helpful, and taught me so much about the Cairn terrier. I know that many of you will have happy memories of Chrissy, and those that didn’t know her will most certainly have heard of her.     Doris Howes at this time is in a nursing home suffering from Alzeimers, although I am told that she is comfortable and happy. She will probably not be told of Chrissies death, as she really doesn’t remember her now. It is very sad. Chrissy was well into her nineties, as is Doris. I know that the love and enjoyment of all their dear Cairns gave both Chrissy and Doris great happiness over past years.
