Alf Jennings In Hospital

12/02/07 Alf has apparently had another heart attack, he was taken ill last week and admitted to hospital after he collapsed, they altered his medication and then sent him home last Friday, unfortunately he was taken poorly again on Sunday and re-admitted to Pinderfields Hospital In Wakefield. After tests the doctors say he must have had a second  heart attack (probably Sunday Morning) I can’t tell you which ward he is in as he has been bed hopping!

So if you wish to send cards to cheer him up it may safer to send them home as Milly will be visiting him daily.

I will keep you all informed of any changes.

Just spoke to Milly who has told me Alf has finally been moved back to the Cardiac Ward 5 and is therefore feeling a little better in himself. Here hopefully will be able to get more rest and appropriate care than he did whilst he was in the Spinal Injuries ward!

Apparently he was attached to a monitor 24/7 and unable to get out of bed but now they have cleared up his chest infection hopefully he will soon be back home with the Doonrae Cairns.

Just to let you know we went to visit Alf last night in hospital, he looked very spritely and better than I have seen him in a while. He was thrilled to see us and he has made friends with lots of the other gentlemen on his ward. He is hoping to be going home in the next couple of days. He isn’t allowed to drive yet but the consultant told him he cant see any reason why he wont be able to start again when he has been given the all clear.
