I received the following news item from MCTC club
member Marilyn Hawkins;
“Kilnyard Archie Spangles and his owner completed
The West Highland Way (95 miles from Milngavie near Glasgow
to Fort William)
on Saturday 3rd June. Archie walked the Way in aid of
Demelza House a children’s hospice in Sittingbourne,
Kent. Thanks to
our cairn colleagues who sponsored us. If anyone else would like to
sponsor Archie, donations can be sent to Mrs. M. Hawkins at 10, Dunedin
Close, Sittingbourne, Kent
ME10 1RX. As we all know
Cairns are friendly dogs and Archie managed to charm quite a few of his
fellow walkers and became quite famous as the week progressed.”
Well done to Archie and Marilyn, sounds
like a very deserving cause, and what a wonderful picture!
