writes. “It is with great
sadness that I write to tell you that my husband John Birch died in hospital
on June 30th. His lung problems
became significantly worse in recent weeks. He had already spent a fortnight
in hospital earlier in June and came home for a few days towards the end of
the month. John remained very poorly, though, and required an oxygen machine
to help him breathe.” Our condolences go to
