First Cairnoodle Litter is Born

Many of you will have seen reports in the press and on TV regarding the great success of the new canine cross breed “Labradoodle”, this is a straight cross between a Labrador and a Poodle, the cross was originally bred for people with allergies.

The MCTC Newspage can now reveal that the first “Cairnoodle” pups have been born in the UK.

Avril Duper of the “Looflirpa” affix mated her Grey brindle 2-year-old Cairn bitch to a black Miniature Poodle. The pups are now 6 weeks old and are all sold. Avril first thought about the cross after hearing of the Labradoodle’s popularity. She then gave thought to the size and that there might be a market for a smaller type cross, a Miniature Poodle being similar in size to the Cairn seemed a good idea. She has been inundated with requests as soon as she advertised them on “pups4u”.

Due to copyright we are unable to print any photographs of the pups but they can be seen on the http://www.pups4u.com website.

Interestingly the breed standard for a Poodle temperament is “Bright, intelligent and eager to please”. Poodles also enjoy obedience training –  Just think, no more dog dander, no stripping and obedient to boot!
