A Sad Day For Reinier & Margolia Goud

We have just heard that Davmar Viking Arrow has been put to sleep after a not being very well for only a short period of time. He was staying with relatives whilst Reinier and Margolia where in Zagreb at the FCI European Winner Show. When they got back he stopped eating and drinking and didn’t seem to realise what was happening around him, they believe he was waiting for them to come home

Those of you who have met Arrow know what a wonderful life he had in and out of the ring with his proud doting owners who always kept him in tiptop condition. He never looked his age, making him an excellent Veteran & ambassador of our breed.

He was nearly fifteen and had a show career for about 14 years gaining his NL and German veteran champion titles just in Nov./Dec. 2006!  David Winsley (who bred Arrow) always said that he was such a poser looking at that picture taken in the French Alps. That picture is now on a champion's commemerative plate from the Netherlands' Cairn Terrier Club that the Gouds have in their living room. He has been shown more than 150 times all around Europe and had finally a great veteran career at UK club shows and at Crufts.

We just enjoyed showing him. But most of all he had an outstanding character and lovely temperament for which we loved him a lot.

Arrow will be missed!
