I and several other doggy folks have received the following email from a very delighted Paul Tucker owner of the above listed on Doglost.
“Hello - I am asking you to please ask all your members to consider sending a thank you card to WPC2014 Louise Wright who got my English bull terrier back after it was stolen.
Sadly dog theft seems to be low priority on the police crime list, but this officer looked at a poster of my dog every day in the tea room and spotted him during a visit to a house. It wasn't a low agenda theft for her - and I hope all dog lovers could drop her a card saying Well Done! Her address is Ilminster Police Station, 9 Butts Road, Ilminster, Somerset, TA19 0AY. Not only does she deserve praise, but if she gets hundreds of cards, the Police magazine will run a story for all forces to take note, and hopefully the national press will take up the tale of good policing, which can only be a good thing for us all.
