“I have just got back from the SKC Top Dog Competition (2006) which was held this evening at Ingliston. This year they had a new format with 30 top Scottish dogs invited to be judged by three judges. After an initial parade round the ring each dog was then judged by each judge for type and conformation (points being awarded) Then each dog came into the ring again to be assessed for movement in front of the three judges (points again being awarded) The points were then combined and the top four dogs with the most points were then taken back into the ring to be judged for Star Appeal (Got a bit like the X Factor at this stage!!!!!) My Milly, Ch Birselaw It's My Moment, was privileged to be invited and I was pleased with her performance, she kept showing night to end of a very long evening and was awarded runner up Show Dog of the Year, just beaten by Bert Easton's Pekinese. I was very proud that my Milly kept the Cairn flag flying!”
