Two
Very Clever, Obedient & “Fit” Cairn Terriers!
Morag with
her Gold Award & proud Mum Elizabeth Parkin |
Ross with his
Gold Award |
On a very foggy and cold Sunday in November, Morag Parkin
(Roachdee Toffee Crisp) succeeded in gaining her Gold Good Citizen award
under Judge Bill Breeze. In this she joins
half brother Ross (Roachdee Mystery of the Full Moon) who gained his Gold
award in October 2010, also under Bill. Both dogs have also had some success locally in the
agility ring winning several rosettes including Ross gaining a first and
second place and Morag a second and third place: next year both will compete in the Intermediate classes.
Owner Elizabeth says that whilst both dogs have appeared
in the show ring, agility is such fun for them. Of the two, Ross has the steadier temperament whilst
Morag, although very fast, can be a bit scatty. Attending obedience classes allows them to meet a large
variety of other dogs and makes them use their intelligence, as Cairns are
such bright little dogs. Elizabeth has now
adopted Mungo (aka Robbie) through CTRF and hopes that he will
follow the other 2 in to the obedience and the agility ring. Morag |
