I have received the following email/news item from our
Transatlantic travellers Bob & Yvonne Croyman, who have just returned
home from Philadelphia. “Having just returned from Philadelphia this
morning we are able to add a little more information with regards to Ch
Cairnhoe Highlander Of Wolfpit born 02-06-2000, he was entered in the
Veteran Class for 7 years & over Dogs at the Montgomery County Show on
Sunday October 10th, the Judge was Jon R. Cole, he was handled by Lydia
Hutchinson and took 1st place from a Class of 6 (1a) he further went on to
win an Award of Merit in the Challenge for the Best of Breed which was
won by Ch Cherbo Harwood Steele At Harmony owned by Kari & Jack Loken
& Cheri Eagleson from an entry of 144. Back at the Holiday Inn Hotel where a large number
of the exhibitors and Committee were staying a lovely pictorial tribute for
Dorothy Lee Blackwood had been placed in one of the meeting rooms along
with similar pictorial tributes for the sad loss of Roman
Tafelski and Rudy Millward. There was not many attending from the UK this year,
apart from myself and Yvonne the only other person was Barbara Hands who had
judged the Westies at Hatboro on Friday and also attended the
CTCA dinner on the Friday and the Montgomery Show on Sunday. By the way the weather the whole time we were there was
cloudless skies and wall to wall sunshine in the high 70's and when we left
for the airport on Monday it was in the low 80's”. |
