Swedish Cairn Terrier Club Show Jarna, 12 July 2015 I was
delighted to receive the invitation to judge Swedish Cairn Terrier Club show
in Jarna, on 12 July 2015 and was very happy to accept the appointment.
Angela, my wife, decided to come along too and it was our first visit to
Sweden ever and the hospitality and arrangements were superb. On the
day of the Show the weather was fine and sunny, with only a 5 minute shower
at around midday. The setting for the Show was very picturesque, which made
it an enjoyable day. My two stewards, Tina and Christian, saw that proceeding
went smoothly and that I didn’t stray off the path. Thank you to you both. Although
the Show entry was low, as it happened to clash with two other major shows on
the same weekend, the quality of the entry was extremely high and I was
challenged in many classes to make my placings. I was delighted with my top
awards and would have taken them all home, but my suitcase just wasn’t big
enough. The dogs
on this day were excellent. Beautiful heads, level toplines and correctly
proportioned bodies with very few exaggerations in any feature. The Swedish
Cairn Community should be very proud of their cairns and I hope they continue
to breed such excellent exhibits. Both
Angela and I had a wonderful time and I would like to Thank the club, but in
particular Susanne Duva, for looking after us so well. BIS :
