Are you interested in becoming a Trustee for the CTRF?  If so, and you are a member of the Midland please contact Linda Firth and register your interest.  I will then notify the Secretary of the CTRF, Chris Roberts who will supply you with the relevant information.

Chris writes

"Maybe you don’t want to commit yourself to being a Trustee, if so there are other ways of helping out…………

Many Cairns that we take in have either suffered or are not used to the care and affection that they deserve, but many have come from very loving homes and have been someone’s beloved pet.  For the dogs who have not had the best start in life living with a foster family helps to provide them with one-to-one care, allowing them to build up their confidence and get used to a normal lifestyle until we can find the right ‘forever home’ for them.

Other dogs don't cope well in kennels. This is where we need people to take them in to provide them with a real home, even if it is only on a temporary basis.

Fostering animals can also be a pleasurable experience. It’s rewarding to know that you played a part in the re-homing process especially when a foster Cairn is taken to its ‘forever home’.

It also gives people an alternative, as not everyone is able to take on a dog long term.

Not only do we need ‘foster homes’, but we also require volunteers to help with transporting dogs, mainly from their former homes to a foster home or other place of safety, or we may need someone to carry out a ‘home visit’ prior to one of our Cairns going to their forever home."
