General Open Show Critiques
WEST Midland Terrier 15 Feb CAIRNS – I would like to thank the committee for the invite to
judge my breed & for their very kind hospitality, & to my very able
steward. J 1 Inett & Engebretsen’s
Carradine Dexter, dark brindle dog maturing up nicely, with excellent head
& good eye & stop. Excellent bite. Good length of leg & not too
heavy making for a good outline. Level topline & stood & showed very
well. RBOB; 2 Inett, Harrison & Clayton’s
Carradine Secret Snowdrop; 3 Inett’s Carradine Lady
Lola. PG 1 Bateman & Sach’s Dandi Boy
Spud, dark brindle dog with lovely Cairn expression & good bite, very
nice ear placement. He had a good sloping shoulder which showed through on
his movement which was equal & sound; 2 Torpay’s
Anglyairn The Real Thing. O 1 Bateman & Gompels’
Carradine Terries Tipple, wheaten dog, have judged this dog before & gave
him BOB then & was equally delighted to find him just as pleasing in
today’s company. He has a beautiful head but still
retains that masculine quality, level bite & good stop. Has a well sprung
rib & super level topline. Coat of good quality & texture. Moves
round the ring soundly, with purpose & with nothing exaggerated. BOB; 2
Byrne & Inett’s Carradine Brian The Lion; 3 A The
Real Thing. DAPHNE PURVIS |
