MIDLAND COUNTIES IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT ROAD
CLOSURE.

The A518 near the Staffordshire Police HQ is closed in both directions
for the week commencing Monday 23rd October to Sunday 29th (pm) inclusive.
This is the main route from M6 J14 (and Stafford) to the showground. |

Midland Counties have consulted with the contractors and Staffs CC but
regrettably there are no mitigations possible - eg relaxing the closure. |

As such there is a full closure in place for the duration of the show. |

There will be a signed diversion in place. Visitors to the show should
exit the M6 at J14 and follow the A34 towards Stone. When on the outskirts of
Stone, follow the signed Diversion onto the A51 towards Rugeley. Continue
along the A51 until you reach the traffic lights at the A518 turn ( right)
towards Showground and Stafford. There is a notice to say the A518 is closed
at Veritas Academy but this is BEYOND the showground so wont affect show
traffic access. |

On leaving the showground, the reverse route should be taken. |

The Officers and Committee apologise for this impact on your day which
is beyond our control. We will be monitoring the situation but visitors are
advised to allow an extra 30 minutes on their journey time. |
