Breed Championship Show 19 June 2004

Judge; Alan Firth (Cairngold)

BIS & Bitch Green Star Glenrood Magic Dreamer, Judge Alan Firth, Dog Green Star Swe & Nor Ch. Raskens Royal Trademark

 

The show was held at the National Show Centre at Cloghran, Near Dublin.  An entry of 41 dogs awaited the judge.

 

Alan awarded the Green Star in males to Mats Lindborg & Elizabeth Norstrand’s Swe & Nor Ch Rasken’s Royal Trade Mark (Ch Rotriver’s Stable Rat x Ch Penticharm Lucky Heather of Paracairn).  Reserve went to Marie Hogarty’s Cadagio As Good As It Gets (GB Ch Birselaw Billy Fury x Ch Frigg’s Josefa).

Bitch Green Star and BIS was M Dockry’s Glenrood Magic Dreamer (GB Ch Shearwater Cae De Sonhas x Glenrood Magic Pipit) with the Reserve Green Star going to M Kirkby and M Linnane’s Dunchaoin Sparkler (Ch Toonagh Boy x Nuvan Future Prospect of Dunchaoin).  Best Puppy was L Alexander’s Dreamboy Bobbie (Annaglimore Gale x Princess of Tats and Tails)

(1) Alexander’s Dreamboy Bobby- Wheaten, well muscled, good topline, pleasing expression, positive on the move, very animated. (BP)

(2) Dalzell’s Eglish Happy Go Lucky-Red in good jacket, showed steadily, not quite as positive as 1 on move but I feel

that this will improve as he matures.

(3) Gregg’s Honey’s Bunch at Bambusa

(1) Honey’s Bunch at Bambusa- Wheaten brindle in need of a new jacket, not as positive in showmanship as 1 & 2  in last class.

(1) Hogarty’s Cadagio As Good As It Gets- Wheaten brindle, good clean lines, lovely correct mouth, texture of coat was excellent, nice length of back leading to a well set on tail, moved with good rear drive. ( Reserve Green Star)

(1)  Alexander’s Duke Samuel William Edgar- Dark red brindle, good mouth, True cairn expression, well let down hocks, correct coat texture, showed steadily.

(1) Lindborg & Norstrand’s Swe Ch Nor Ch Rasken’s Royal Trade Mark - Dark brindle in superb coat, well up to size, very upstanding, nice eye, great head, correct length of back, good tail angulation,  moved true both front and rear, a worthy champion. Won the green star by his maturity ( Green Star and RBOB)

(2) Forbes Ch Windrush Boy- Dark red brindle, old type head, in really good coat, very masculine, beat 3 in class on movement.

(3) Lindborg & Norstrand’s Swe Ch Nor Ch Fin Ch Rasken’s Reach the Top.

(4) Callanan’s Slishwood Crofter of Calwin.

1. Hogarty’s  Cadagio Catch Me If You Can- Wheaten in good jacket, good mouth, nice eye and expression, liked her length of back but  she just needs to steady in front movement, very promising for the future as she matures.

(2) Dean’s Orior Miss Millie- Wheaten brindle, very immature compared to 1, was very short of coat, very animated, showed all out. Moved very well.

(1) Kirby & Linnane’s Dunchaoin Sparkler- Dark red brindle, good mouth, nice expression, moved very well, very animated , a good showgirl. (Reserve Green Star)

(2) Healy’s Amorset Buffy Girl- Wheaten with good expression, nice length of back moved well but not showing as well as 1 on the day.

 

LB (2)

(1) Dokry’s Glenrood Magic Dreamer- Light red/wheaten, good eye, very feminine head, correct mouth, nice length of back, excellent tail set, coat of correct texture, very, very positive on the move both front and rear, fulfils the breed standard in all departments. (Green Star and BOB

(2) Keenan’s Keywest Lady at Shabanagh- Dark brindle with old type head, moved well but not enjoying her day as much as 1

OB (9,3ab)

(1)  Keenan’s Shabana  Stormy Skye Dancer-  Red brindle, Good mouth and nice cairn expression, good front movement, very good coat condition, showed well

(2) Hogarty’s Cadagio Tia Maria. Dark brindle, very showy,

nice eye and good length of back, a very close decision between 1 & 2

(3) Hogarty’s Cadagio Pretty Woman
